Education in Belize is not free. Each child must pay for the privilege of attending school. But so many families in the rural areas of the country do not have the means to pay. Many do not even understand the necessity of an education for their children and so they cannot justify the expense. That is where our sponsorship programs help to meet a very large need in the community. We are able to pay the school fees so that children will get the necessary education
